Stress Management

The word 'stress' is one we use in a general way to indicate feelings of being overwhelmed. In fact, we all need a certain level of arousal in order to perform well, help us achieve, and gain feelings of satisfaction in our lives. The level we can tolerate before it tips over into discomfort varies from person to person.

Many people today are pushed beyond their own particular level. What's more, many people feel guilty that they experience what they term 'stress'. You may be someone who has very high expectations of yourself, setting yourself rigid goals. Alternatively, you may be caught up in a corporate culture that expects you to work long hours and do things more and more quickly. All feelings of stress have at their core some sense of powerlessness.

Whatever the reason, your stress levels may be interfering with your quality of life, and even causing health problems. Perhaps it is difficult for you to find the means to look after yourself by eating well, exercising and taking rest.
