Confidence

Confidence is a broad term and literally means 'with faith' or 'with trust'. So having confidence is about having faith or trust in oneself.

For some people, it is a particular situation in which they feel they lack confidence. For others, it is a feeling that they are not able to truly express themselves generally and may affect both their work and social lives.

Very often, these feelings can be traced back to a particular incident in your life, maybe at home or at school. Some people grew up in an environment which didn't permit them to express their unique selves. Others have simply emulated a parent or other caretaker who themselves may have been lacking in what we call confidence.

Acting with confidence is a very individual matter, and a good Clinical Hypnosis treatment programme will be guided by what expressing confidence means to you in terms of your behaviour, thoughts and feelings so that it is uniquely tailored to your needs and the changes you would like to see occurring in your life.
