Pregnancy and Childbirth

Hypnosis in Childbirth

Wouldn't you like to experience giving birth in a relaxed and alert way?

We so often associate this amazing experience with severe pain, but it doesn't have to be like this.

It is known that fear and tension increase pain, and the purpose of learning self-hypnosis to use during the birth process is to free you from these so that pain can be greatly reduced, if not eliminated completely.

Your body is exquisitely designed and, if you feel calm and in control, the muscles involved in birthing can get on with their job free of the resistance that fear and tension create.

You will be taught to use imagery if it is right for you, in various phases of your birthing experience to assist your body in its work.

There is evidence that the use of hypnosis in this way reduces the possibility of complications, and shortens the period of labour.
